Which is more formal, which is more relaxing?

Just like it sez in the thread title.

Which is more formal?
Which is more relaxing?

Japanese Tea Ceremony

or

Shaving

Think about it. :001_huh: An argument could be made for either in both questions.

They're both simple mundane tasks that can be elevated to a ritual.

Here I am, 1st again.
I'd love to have Tea with a Japanese girl. Are they call Giesha girls? This should be relaxing.

O yeah. I should get dressed up.

The tea ceremony is more formal, as it is more laid out. There's no "YMMV" to many aspects of the tea ceremony.

However, I can find them both equally relaxing.

Memoirs of a Geisha.....WORST movie I've ever seen. I considered chewing my own leg off to get out of that theater.

I make Macha a couple times a week with the bowl and whisk and enjoy it very much. I find both relaxing but shaving wins out in both categories.

Never been to or attempted a Japanese tea ceremony but from what I know an almost extreme formality is pretty integral to the process which doesn't really exist in shaving culture to my knowledge.

A chasen of matcha before a shave is a pretty relaxing start to the day though.
