Not my usual looking SOTD, but its not the usual week or even MONTH. Its Razorocktober and OCtober!! Today I celebrated both. I simply love the Zi' Peppino in every way. Still getting used to the old type. Its a great shaver but the shave I had with the NEW the other day was far superior. Im an Xray tech so I thought the 'negative' effect looked pretty cool. I think the bowl looks absolutely stunning like this.

Today, I am presenting you my first restoration project, a Rubberset 400-4. The brush arrived in really poor conditions, with holes in part of the handle, so I decided to polish it and cover the part of the brush in worst conditions with urushi (cashew) lacquer. Those of you that are not familiar with this Japanese lacquering technique, I would like you to know that it requires a lot of time to complete a piece, because lacquering process requires giving a lot of layers (40 in my case). The result is really nice, and I am really happy that my first project ended in this way.
