Expensive dye! I'd use food coloring in water instead for that little project.

now, I'm wondering if living plants/flowers watered with a dilution of water and BSB will take on that color, and not just cut flowers. May have to try this

I've done similar with lillies and a bit of food dye.
Not sure I'd want to use a bottle of ink though

Yeha... much cheaper ways of doing that. Would hate for the large bottle of ink to get contaminated!

Yeah, I'd never do it with any of my good inks, however my BSB is fair game

lol nothing the nib is still fine,... the rest of the pen however, not so much... it took a fall and I broke it, but the nib is on some floss in the bottle, I checked on it very disappointed, stupid hero nib cant even fail right

I'm certain that after this experiment that the ink would be rendered useless. Interesting how the flower absorbs the ink.

I remember doing that in high school biology class as a demonstration of capillary action in plants. We just used food coloring...definitely cheaper than Pelikan Edelstein ink!
