I am recently preferring Noxzema Protective Shave to pre shave oil. I have also been using a tiny bit as a post shave balm.
I can get a lot more shaves out of a Perma-Sharp. I have been pitching them way too soon.

I learned that I can apply a little pressure on my skin using the Lupo 95. I don’t have to hover the blade over my skin.
A Feather blade in a Slim Adjustable at a mild setting is very effective. In a slant, it is perilous.
Is that from keeping a shallower angle?
I really like my 2009 R41 razor. After just using my Futur for a long time, that R41 is a real pleasure to use.

Yes. Shallow + slight pressure = nice shave.

Not with the razor. Okay, with the razor, too, but with the brush. Lighter touch swirling/loading. Lighter touch painting. Just like using a lighter touch with a razor makes it feel nimbler so the edge can gently excise stubble, going lighter with the brush allows the lather to get under the whiskers better.
I wonder if that also applies to splaying the brush and scrubbing about like an adrenalized wildebeest. A lighter, gentler wildebeest approach could be gnu.
