Time to get 3 pens refurbished - recommendations?

I have 3 pens I need to get refurbished. One is an Everfeed plunger type. The other two are Esterbrooks. Both Esterbrooks will need new bladders and the desk pen will need a new nib. I have done some research and know that the pens are best fitted with bladders that will not out-gas chemicals that can ruin the barrel. Any recommendations?

The Everfeed may not be cost efficient to have repaired. The re-saccing on the Esties won't be terribly expensive but turn around time for some people may be anywhere from a couple of weeks to 6 months.

Also knowing which part of the country you are in we can recommend someone a little closer or if in a large city someone you can drop them off to!

But Danny Fudge at http://www.thewritepen.net/services.html gets recommended a lot. I had some recent work done on a vintage Pelikan done by Ron Zorn http://www.mainstreetpens.com/pricelist.htm . Tyler Dahl I think is another people have used to have work done... http://tylerdahlpens.com/services.html

The Philadelphia Pen Show was this weekend so a couple of these guys could be traveling currently or have a large backlog of emails to get through after the show. Be patient if you do email them. :)

You can always do it yourself if you are the least bit handy and don't mind tracking down some parts.

If by chance you are in Columbus, Ohio, Jack Price has a shop in Clintonville. He is a character but can do the easy stuff.

Had you considered doing the Esterbrooks yourself? I'm about to replace a couple of sacs myself. Seems pretty straight forward. I do understand if you'd rather not fool with it and send it off to a pro.

Danny has restored several pens for me. Bladder, aerometric, and vac pens all came back in great working order. He also adjusted the nibs on each of these pens. As others have said, he does great work at a fair price.

Danny Fudge ... fair price, great turnaround, loads of experience. With that combo you can't go wrong.

Good luck on the restorations!
