I decided to leave the 7 O'clock blade in my Fatboy to see how many shaves I could pull out of this blade. Shockingly it performed well slicing through the hairs smoothly and leaving me with a near BBS shave. I've switched over to a less aggressive 2 pass shave Fatboy set at 4 WTG and then set at 3 for ATG. Then I set the Fatboy to 1 for the touchups around my jawline. I think this system is leaving my skin less irritated as the AS burns less than when I go for the 3 pass WTG, XTG, ATG.
We'll see how long this blade will last. Have a great Monday Gents!

When Istarted to use it, it was dull, so I decided to take it to thestones, then 50 strokes on a leather strop. Took my time with theuberlather, then did one pass wtg, one xtg. What a pleasant shave! Glad I kept it, although I am thinning out my selections. And the 88 is one amazing scent![/FONT]

[FONT=Constantia, serif]Thisis my oldest razor. It's been a bit tricky to get the edge right. Ispent some time bent over the stones, then 40 strokes on the strop. I was still fairly close from yesterday's shave, but I wanted to trysome ATG. Confined the blade's activities to the cheeks and the sides of the neck. I worked up a good foam, let the lather sit on my face fora minute under a hot towel. Wiped it off, put on another coat oflather. WTG, then, since ATG goes “against my grain” and Iusually end up with irritation, I relathered and gently gave it a go. You know, to get the feel. Nocuts, nicks, just a nice, close shave. It was a pleasure. [/FONT]
