I had my first attempt at honing a kamisori yesterday and I must say it was quite a success. It's wonderfully sharp again and wipes away the whiskers with ease.

GFT Eucris got the nod today. I am very fond of this scent, it is one of my favorites. Another favorite is the 290 Da vinci silvertip as is the Slim.

Doug

Pre shave - Hot Towel, Palmolive ShaveStick
Razor - Weber ARC
Blade - Astra S/S
Brush- NewForest Tubby 1 Finest
Soap - RazoRockMudder Focker
Cold Rinse/ WitchHazel/ RazoRock Aftershave Wax

TheN/F Finest is a tidy little brush, especially with the MudderFocker... but my face is suffering...maybe the S/S is a little tooaggressive for the Weber.. I think the S/P is more suited to it. :-/

Second shave with Cadet OC head. Today with UFO Godzilla handle, 105 gr weight, 131 gr weight complete razor. Super Iridium blade in first use. Same impressions than yesterday. Good shave, without irritation nor blood, but there are others heads softer, like the Gillette NEW or the Old Type. However, it is a head that gives a very good performance, for those who like to feel the blade on the skin. The price is right considering the level of finish.

Hoffritz OC head with Gillette fat handle
Gillette Super Platinum (2)
Semogue OC 2 band
Klar Kabinett - scuttle lathered
Witch hazel
Bulldog AS balm

Feeling a bit tired tonight, so didn't bother with the Feather as I couldn't summon the concentration required.

Have to say it was a bit of an epiphany. The above combo delivered such a superb shave (this Hoffritz head is something special) that I honestly don't think anything could have bettered it.

Therefore, I'm not sure if the Feather is suited to me. If I can get such a superb shave with such a low risk of badly cutting myself, why bother with the Feather?

I shall give it some thought over the next few days, but my Feather could be appearing on the BST shortly!
