Pre-Shave Oil?

A few days ago I received my first PAA the Cube. How do you guys use it? Wash and then rinse? Or leave on the face and apply lather on top?

Post #53 above includes the PAA Cube instructions that may be of help. They recommend applying it twice for each shave. The first time it's used as soap to wash your face and then rinsed off. The second time it's left on prior to application of your lather as a superlathering agent.

I have used preshave oil for years now and it makes a big difference for me. I put water on my face first. Then I apply the ershave oil and then I facelather right over the top of the oil. It is noticeable that my dense and super coarse hair is being cut much easier than if I do not use preshave oil.

My favorite oil to use is from Crux Supply.

i just use Pears soap as a preshave, works reasonably well.

Pre-shave oils make my hands feel…well…oily…and slippery.

That's easily fixed; just wash your hands after you apply it. Not only does it get rid of that slippery feeling, it gives the oil more time to soak in.
