Lather: Gillette Sensitive Gel with Aloe
Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: GC.84 SB, Al Handle, Wizamet SI #5
Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Nivea Balm

The final "soap" of the month is a bit of a joker, left-over canned Gillette gel. I bowl-lathered a generous squirt of it, and managed to get it accurately hydrated.

The scent was industrial (propellant?), but the shave performance was surprisingly good. Post-shave is "neutral", there's nothing actively irritating in there for me, but nothing conditioning either.

I'd take this over a badly performing soap (Wilkinson blue bowl ~2017) or one that gives me irritation, otherwise I'll stick with the old-school methods.

Lather: Wickham’s 1912, bowl-loaded/face-lathered
Aftershave: Ulm Nom
Post-shave: face wash with shave binky
Post-shave: mentholated Equate moisturizer

I soaked my brush in just a little over a centimeter of water in a coffee cup while I took a quick shower. it wasn’t the water overflow I had been experiencing and dipping the brush’s tips in water helped dissolve the soap, but not make the ultra slick and runny lotion I had been enjoying.

The cap started skipping, so I went to the steeper side of neutral and the blade just glided on the rounded teeth of the comb. More close, comfortable, and fast than I deserved. No aftershave sting, just a great unstubbling. That said, shaving off the cap feels better when I get my lather slick enough.

Less than one hour before I’ve finished a GRUME. It helped that I don’t have any real space for the impulse buy (PAA Filament slant razor) that tempted me hardest. A strong Pound Sterling also kept me from feeling more coated stainless GEM blades, Schick Proline B-20 blades, and a gold-plated FOCS were must-haves. The Filament quickly selling out also helped.
