Does anyone else use vintage blades exclusively?

No but I have enough I probably could.

Me too. I probably have enough excellent vintage blades to last a decade or more. However, like many comments here, I also like modern blades. They can be sharp and smooth, and consistency is good. Variety is the spice of life, and I prefer to mix it up. I have tried so many different blades over the years that I really know what I like, and what works well with which razors. But I still enjoy using different blades from varying time periods and countries of origin. It’s fun!

Good points - vintage is likely misused often. There are some specific "vintage" blades like those cited that handily outperform the modern equivalents. There are also many more that might not be worth even melting down. The older uncoated Schicks Ron speaks of fall into that category. Most older uncoated carbon steel blades haven't aged well at all.
