Actually, the ones I like are the Astra Superior Stainless.

Yep, and my vote was for platinum, but both the Astras are great.

Great shave again this morn. 10th shave with a Gillette Black blade in my R2 OC ATT. Starting to wonder when this blade is going to go dull. Think I found one of my GO-TO blades. Now to find a few more that act this way.

I've been out of DE shaving for a while, but Astra and feather were my favorites IIRC. My dad despises feather blades and will only use Astras.

What is your preferred method of shaving these days? Straight?

We've made it all the way to page four! I'm so very excited.

Is that train racing?!?! I imagine the quarter mile is pretty slow...

I mostly use straights these days, but on occasion I'll use a single edge razor. I enjoy the maintenance and upkeep that goes along with straights.

The most exciting part about train racing is watching them try to stop.

Futur arrived today. Also stopped by a local antique shop and picked up some old PAL hollow ground DE blades, a boar hair brush (I think) and a Star bakelite razor.

I'll bump this along by showing my razor for the last few days. A Thin Cap OLD head on handle from a Wizard blade stropper. I call her Thin Wizzy. It is a solid brass handle so it's actually heavier than the original. It really doesn't get much better than this.
