Carl Rob. Schaaf straight razor?

$Remus.jpg

I bought these razors maybe 25 years ago on a flea market, but sr shaving didn't work out for me back then.
Now I started again with a shavette and so far it works pretty well. Now I'm thinking about having them sharpened.
One of the blades is damaged (my fault), the imprint says "250 Carl Rob. Schaaf, Solingen & Co." and "REMUS" on the other side.
Are they worth it? I remember that they were pretty cheap and the seller had a whole bunch of them in a box.

Made from 1914-1926 I believe. Are they worth it? Well just to get them up and running with a hone I'd say sure. Go for it. Why not ?

Got them back today. Paid €29 for the honing which is more than I spent for both razors.
But that's okay, I know I didn't pay too much.

First shave wasn't very satisfying, but at least I didn't catch a nick (I shaved 5 times before with a shavette and I nicked myself each time)
However, the shavette shaves were much closer. Maybe I'm doing something wrong (angle) or I need to strop them first. I'll find out...
