Best Russian blade?

Astra SP and GSB for me. Can't decide which one I prefer over the other. They each have the strong and weak points but both are good enough for the dessert island scenerio.

Platinum & GSB

Rapira Swedish Supersteel and Sputnik for me. Because I like milder blades. Otherwise it's Polsilver Super Iridium.

I haven't found anything I like as much as Astra SP

Gillette 7 o'clock Sharp Edge

The three Russians I've tried so far have all been excellent (Nacet, PolSilver, GSB), with the GSB being my number 1 to date. I have a few more to try once my current blade gets binned.

Are any Russian blades as sharp or sharper then a Feather?

My 'Top of the Pops' Russian blade list would be :

1) Voskhod
2) Rapira Platinum Lux
3) Rapira Swedish Super Steel
4) Polsilver Iridium - I think the wax tacking ruined the edges so to be fair maybe I need to buy again to see.

I have some GSBs en route ...quite looking forward to seeing if they live up to the legend. maybe I'll get some 7'oclocks to try as well as some Ladas...who knows, I may be pleasantly surprised.

Yeah I have to say...not a bad site. I just ordered The "Super Double Edge Sampler. Should be interesting to see which are the diamonds in the rough and which are likely to send me into hypovolemic shock.

Astra Superior Stainless

Although I love Astra blades, the Nacets are my favorite Russian blade hands down.

In my new Wolfman SB the best Russian blades are Astra SP and GSB. Nacet is a step below IME.

Been doing some experimenting again lately, but going back to Nacet I think and just staying there!
