Here is a really balanced white, type hailing from the regions of Lazio, Le Marche, and Abruzzo (this particular grower is in the latter). I like this type (Pecorino) for its balance of mineral and fruit. Less fruit, more mineral!

Does it go well with Pecorino Romano?

I particularly fell in love with Pinot Gris- A little less sweet than the Gewürztraminer. During my time there I also learnt that Crémant is a lovely alternative to Champagne. I live within an area that's also mostly known for white wines, and I might add, some of the best of Toscana. Also oil!

Agreed on Cremant, some great values to be had for nice bubbly

Last night's delight - Outstanding Tuscan White - trebbiano, vermentino, sauvignon, pinot bianco, from my "backyard". Montecarlo is a wonderful place (half way, or 45 minutes by car) between Florence and Pisa, with many, many more fantastic growers.

From the "heel of the boot". Out of the gate - profound fruity, melony notes. It's starting to grow on me a bit.

Really great Sangiovese on sale for less than €5. I do not miss living in countries that overcharge for wine.

A white field blend that grows within the city limits of Vienna - predominantly Grüner Veltliner and Sauvignon Blanc with a bit of Müller Thurggau.

An inexpensive but satisfactory red wine that is a staple at my house, maybe not daily, but frequently!

Another basic Vinho Tinto

Wine of the night:

Agenda Agrigola Foradori, Teroldego Rotaliano, 2016

A non rustic Teroldego, go figure. Nice sour cherry nose, intermixed with herbs. Straight and focused on the palate, again sour cherries, medium long finish.

This red isn't overly complex, but what a joy to drink (12,5% alcohol content). A good match for meat and pasta.
