Rinse soap jar after finished?

I realize that, but I am also limited in experience. I was not sure if leaving it wet all day would break the soap down to a mush and keep it from drying out into one piece again.

I leave my soaps damp all the time. In fact, with some soaps, like MWF, with continued daily use it appears to improve the lather quality if you don't let it dry completely between uses. Just my opinion. I don't know if over time this would cause spoilage or deterioration of the soap, but I haven't encountered that problem yet.

Crap, without even thinking today I put the lid on my soap and put it away before it dried.

Will it be OK if I take if off to dry after work?

At first I thought this was a sarcastic post.

I wouldn't worry about it at all. Like I said in a previous post, I never allow my soaps to dry completely.

 I'm only about 5 shaves into dry shaving.

Dry shaving?! Now you're yanking my chain. :001_rolle

I don't rinse off my soaps, and I don't let them dry for an extended period of time before covering them. I cover the soap as the last step of the shave after rinsing my face, brush, sink, and applying aftershave products. I've never had a soap suffer in all these years.
