Lol, my talents are limited to a chainsaw!Sheesh! And I’m over here shaping hobby blocks with jigsaws and belt sanders lol.
If i knew what exactly what you were looking for I'd help look.I hear you and I tried to turn wood on the metal lathe and I just struggled to get what I wanted out of it. I tend to do better with free hand tools on the wood lathe for wood parts. I would love to get a quality cross slide tool post for my wood lathe, but can't seem to find anyone who makes one.
There are plenty of artisans that free hand on a belt grinder then drill to match.Sheesh! And I’m over here shaping hobby blocks with jigsaws and belt sanders lol.

Beautiful art! Maple?Your new lathe inspired me to do something with my old lathe. So I made a bowl/cup. First time trying a bowl.

This is true. My dad could fix most things with a hammer and a screwdriver.A hacksaw and a file are the basics that need to be mastered.
Looks like you are doing well, Grasshopper.
I wish my hobbies turned out like yours
