I did see that after searching for the Dirty Bird scuttle right after posting. :-( I always thought it would be a nice alternative to the G5 when using a stick and face lathering.

Still in. Tried the R6 plate today and it felt very similar to the R3 plate the other day. Nice shave and I like the razor, just not noticing much of a change between the plates so far. Maybe it's just me and I need to experiment some more.

Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat (Tallow)
Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: Rockwell 6S R5, Ti Handle, Wilkinson #7
Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Nivea Balm
Final shave on this blade. A comfortable DFS, but I'm looking forward to a change for the second week.
Exactly. I get nearly ideal functionality out of the GC84-P, so buying another DE would be novelty and diminishing returns, or (a lot more likely) disappointment. I can feed my novelty habit cheaper than that.
A different blade format might be interesting, but meanwhile I am getting good shaves...
