5 - Aftershave: Draagon Noir

6 - Balm: Gentleman Jack sandalwood beard and face lotion



Notes: This was a pretty good shave DCS and DFS- I bloomed the Proraso red that was smashed into my fine accouterments bowel while I was in the shower. This was the first time I bloomed anything in my bowl and it worked great! This will be the new norm. I used the bloom water as a pre shave and it also worked great. It wasn’t the closest shave but it was pretty good. Very comfortable.

Notes: This was an OK shave. There were a couple of alum high feedback areas. There was also a couple of small nicks.

Notes: This was a great CCS for Easter. The last of fixed four for March madness. I learned some lessons about technique and consistency instead of switching things up all the time. I’m going to have to ponder that for a while but I’m going back to switching things up again for now.

Notes: This was a great DFS DCS today!

The Progress made short work of the 7 days growth, especially with the brand new Astra SP in it. I really like the Ethos soap, it is especially slick. I did however use too much water but it worked out just fine. I’m trying to change my routine from a three pass shave to a two pass shave for comfort purposes.

Notes: Today was a close comfortable shave CCS. The Tech came up in the rotation and did great as usual. It handled 5 days of growth no problem. I just learned it’s a 1931 2nd quarter (code is B2) I’m not sure why I didn’t look it up before. When I bought it over a year ago it was advertised as 1940’s and I guess I never questioned it. I guess that makes it a pre-war ball end tech. Pretty neat.

Notes: This evening’s shave was very enjoyable. I have not used ARKO in a while and I always underestimate its performance and how much I enjoy the scent. The 4711 complimented it perfectly. I did get one pretty good nick right under my nostril, pretty painful. Outside of that, it was a close comfortable shave.
