I believe the large flat angle shape of the head has lots of surface area contact with the skin and can suck down to it (or at least that's how it feels). It's not bad, but noticeable.
To me, that is the main draw as that kind of design sets the angle...safe and predictable. Just need a slightly slicker lather.
A number of other razors do that...Blackbird included.
