Something I was watching a couple weeks ago made reference to Johnny Cash's version of A Boy Named Sue, and it inspired me to order Where the Sidewalk Ends and The Giving Tree.

Nowdays you couldn't read Roald Dahl in school.My Side of the Mountain. One of the books we read in school was called The Dollhouse Murders. That wouldn't happen nowdays.

I remember reading this book over, and over again as a kid...and letting my imagination run wild!
I’m right there with you.I liked fantasy, so the Narnia series by C. S. Lewis and the Prydain Chronicles by Lloyd Alexander were early favorites. I also read my copy of L'Morte de Arthur to tatters.
