What's new

What TV Series from Your Childhood do you remember?

Rocky and Bullwinkle, Loonie Toons, Astro Boy, Inspector Gadget, GI Joe, He-man, Transformers, Ninja Turtles, Ghost Busters, You can't do that on TV, The Racoons, Mr. Dressup, to name a few 😜
You must have been born around 76 also.

When I was a kid, Knight Rider, A Team, Street Hawk, Blue Thunder, Miami Vice, Airwolf, Hunter, and a few others. I liked the early and mid 80’s quite a bit for TV.

Born in '82 and I agree, 80's TV was awesome! So many good ones!

Rifleman, Have Gun-Will Travel, Wyatt Earp, Cheyenne, Sugarfoot, Maverick, Gunsmoke, Lone Ranger, Wanted: Dead or Alive, RawHide, Wagon Train...you see where this is going...right? Plus Nichols (with Garner)
Awesome choices!

I remember watching The Little Rascals on this guy's show:

I remember hearing The Whistler And His Dog
and I think Wikipedia got the date wrong about when WPIX lost
The Little Rascals in 1958, because I am from 1960.

Back in those days, cops used to like to twirl their billy clubs
as they strolled on their beat.
One day officer Joe walked into frame twirling his club
and he accidentally smashed one of globe lamps on his police chief desk.

And I used to watch Popeye on this guy's show:

In 1960, NYC had a lot of local VHF broadcast tv stations.
They probably still do, but I don't live there anymore.

I liked the theme tunes for Secret Agent Man
and Peter Gunn and 77 Sunset Strip
better than the shows.

And I would rather watch Chinese acrobats spinning plates on sticks
or Topo Gigio,
than either Elvis or The Beatles,
on The Ed Sullivan Show.

Romper Room, Howdy Doody, Lassie, The Lone Ranger, Rin Tin Tin, Captain Kangaroo, Circus Boy, the Little Rascals, The Adventures of Robin Hood... geez, I usually cannot remember what I had for breakfast. Oh yes, I was actually in the peanut gallery on Bozo the Clown one time....
