Favorite Aristocrat?

Hello all, here's a photo of my "Aristocracy". There is five 1946/47 US Aristocrats, one 1941 US Aristocrat, one 1934 US Aristocrat, two 1936 US Aristocrat Deluxes, one English #66 Aristocrat, and last but not least, one 1936 pre-#15 English Aristocrat. I've got a good start, but a long way to go. The Gillette Aristocrat is by far my favorite model of razor that I collect. Among them, the 1946/47 is my favorite. Here's the photo-

Newbie question: Does the Aristocrat offer a better shave or is it just a matter of aesthetics? Thanks.

My favourite is the 1948 no. 15/21 on left. Got it out today ... with a BIC Chrome Platinum: Perfect!

love my #16 had it for ten years and always thought it gold plated due to the handle and bottom plate(how would that even wear?!?) being goldish. it had tiny pitting on the doors so I took some 2000 grit to it and realized it was already to the brass. just now thinking it was rhodium plated as it does have a bit of silver on the the top plate. talk about plate loss.

I like the British versions more than the American, but shavewise I don't find a huuuuge difference. Some are a bit smoother while others are a bit more efficient. At some point I might add an oc as well, but they are hard to come by and most of all - very expensive, but i'm in no rush and I can wait.
