Fatip Razor Quality

I'm 0 for 2 on Fatip. It is indeed a great shave when the blade is lined up.

A piccolo stud was bent (significantly), with the pins so badly aligned it was impossible to square up a blade, much less set it evenly between sides. Top cap was warped. The handle itself was also drilled off-center, which wasn't a big deal by itself. Vendor warrantied it no questions asked.

Tried a Grande next because the Piccolo handle was slippery and difficult to grip. This one's top cap wasn't warped, but the threading was pretty stiff along with a tremendous amount of pin slop. I tried various combinations of the 3 parts to no avail...one razor is unusable and the other requires a 5 minute blade dance.

I do not care about the $20 finish and did not expect $100 tolerances, but think they're failing to hit a minimum standard. A razorock G37 is just fine, for example. Tried the "squeeze the blade tabs trick." I'm probably doing it wrong but am just as successful at trying to pinch 3 icecubes together. Electrical tape around the pins is good enough for now.

Complaints aside, guess what I'm using all the time...
