My first time around was with a Vestige ++.
I've mentioned it before, I had some issue where it just didn't work. Probably operator error, who knows!
And this time I got the + which works as advertised!
But since I already had the ++ (even though it didn't work), I decided to jump up to the +++ which should be a big change. From what I've read, the + and ++ are very similar. So I might as well go max!!

After six months and five days of waiting, my WR2 SS finally arrived today. But I noticed an issue with the polish on the top cap. Has anyone else experienced this with the basic polished?

I have the basic brushed and it looks better than that. Definitely get in contact with them and show them this picture.

Only the top of the cap has these noticeable flaws. The rest isn’t perfect, with some unavoidable machining marks from polishing, but it’s at least acceptable for me.

My Amakuni is standing in my medicine cabinet bored our of her mind, still NIB. I probably won't get to try her out for a while, but am looking forward to spending some time doing a single-edged summer

Yes, Larry you are truly an International Radman. Glad to hear the Hone worked out so well for you. I had it in SS and just wasn't that impressed, I did like the looks though.

I liked it fine but wished it was a little more efficient. I’m not much of a Gem guy so I ended up selling it.

I've never had the polished but as Michael said, even the basic brushed and my matte bronze is better than that. Looks like that one slipped through QC. I'd send them those pictures and would have it replaced. Too expensive to accept!

Remember that my first couple uses with my latest + Vestige was similar. But I sorted it out by adjusting the angle & pressure and where I hold the razor (it's super light). So most likely my first go around with the Vestige ++ was user error!
It works great now and if that wasn't the case I would have definitely never ordered the +++ plate.

The Focus Tritok Concave R52-6 aluminum in black.
I've had it before in another color and now finally have the Stainless one which brought me back to the aluminum. Great razor!
Looks sleek with the over the top Italian branding. I like it!
