I use a Canon PowerShot A70 (an eBay special for $150, purchased refurbished in July 2004), and a Vanguard VS-86 tabletop tripod ($21 on Amazon).

Three years later, I bought a second camera -- a Canon PowerShot A550 (also on eBay, for the same price as the first one).

I prefer the A70. What's most important, I've found, is learning one's camera, as well as the fundamentals of photography (lens aperture, shutter speed, ISO settings, lighting, and composition). A good place to begin is with the Digital Photography Primer here on B&B!

Another Very Good, Very Close, Mama BEar shave. I find the 11C to be a very nice midpoint between the HD and the Slant. I can get nice shaves from all of them, but most consistently with the Open Combed model.

Comment:
The slant improves the performance on the Israeli Personna balde, which I find inadequate in the B&B 2006 razor. However, this still does not perform as well as a Feather or Gillette in the B&B 2006, which has become my favoured combo recently.

Same again, the IP still does an acceptable job in the slant. Looks like the slant is being brought out of retirement.
