using brush to exfoliate with face cleanser?

Has anyone here used their shaving brush to apply a face cleanser and then exfoliate? If so what did you think? would this be a good idea or would it damage the brush?

I have a synthetic brush I consider "retired" that I use for this purpose. My fancier brushes would probably get ticked off if I started using them to exfoliate my face.

As long as you let it dry out completely between uses, I don't see any harm in doing it.

I wouldn't do it with a nice badger brush. It could, however, accelerate breaking in a boar brush.

yes ive done it a few times..works pretty darn good too. id swirl the brush on a bar of soap and then go to town with it. i was using a small EJ BBB. anything bigger and id have had soap in my eyes.

I do that with face soap, and it seems to be working out quite nicely.
