When I don‘t get the chance to shower before a shave, I wash my face, rinse, then rub soap bar on my beard and leave it on there while I bowl lather, rince soap off, apply lather and shave.
I get really dry skin during the winter months and found that Dove soap bars work best for me. I prefer the unscented kind, but all work equally well.
