What's new

Olde English Butterscotch

I found this brush last week at an antique store but I didn't buy it at the time because I had just purchased another brush and I was not ready to get another. Of course it gnawed at me over the course of the week and when I returned it was still there. On the front it says:

Estrigio
Titterton
Made in England
Pure Badger

On the back it says TS7 or maybe IS7

I have not heard anything about this brush but I got it for $15 and I thought that was probably a good deal. I would appreciate any info on it. Here are some pics.

Not much help, but if you google Titterton brushes you get a website of descendants of brush makers, including some Tittertons. I tried!

This brush is pretty small so I plan on using it as a travel brush. Here are the vitals:

Height = 90 mm
Handle = 45 mm
Bristle Loft = 45 mm
Knot size - 20 mm
Diameter = 31 mm

Size wise it's comparable to a Simpson Special 1 Pure Badger
