help refurbishing my new razors

I was just at my grandfathers house and found a gillette fatboy and a gillette super speed. The fatboy wouldnt close right, but after I tweaked it a bit with some pliers, it is great. Now I just need to clean it. I used scrubbing bubbles and that did wonders, a little CLR here and there, but now I need a polish to get the tarnish on the fatboy off for good.

Which polish should I use? I bought brasso, but everybody says this is too abrasive so I have not used it yet. I cannot find the highly recommended MAAS, but I also found a Mr. Metal polish. Any suggestions, I would very much like to get this done tonight.

I usually use MAAS or Blue Magic metal polish. I think NevR-Dull pads have also been mentioned on this site, but I haven't tried those.

Be careful with that - watch that those doors aren't dangerously uneven.

I just shined up a Slim with Autosol. It worked very well, but there is still some tarnish that won't come off.
I have Flitz too, but they're pretty much the same.

do not know from experience but I am pretty sure I read a post on here that said "DO NOT use brasso" to harsh if I remember right?
