I have them both, the 37c is pretty nice but for me it doesn't give as close a shave as the R41.
My Weber classic handle came in today. I paired it with my R41 head used steep angle again and had an incredibly close shave free of redness or irritation. This was my second shave with the R41 and it was even better than the first. My upper lip is so clean it feels funny.... as if hair never grew there. This is one incredible razor.
BTW it rides really sweet on the top of a Weber classic handle!
I've seen many posts bout replacing the R41 handle. Is the original handle that bad?
I'll just have to bear with it for a while then. I've dreamt of making my own razor handles ever since I found out it can be made with a lathe. First thing I'll make when I get my lathe will be a grade 316 stainless steel handle. I've caught myself on many occasions day-dreaming on how I would go about making it.
Pics when you make it.
Cool!
I want in on that PIF for sure
Interesting....Double shot, for me blades seem to make more of a difference with the BEAST than with other razors. I'm going through my sample pack again one blade at a time, 2 shaves on each blade to find a good fit.
+1
A custom handle made by one of our members sounds awesome!
I'm a DE razor shaving newbie (started 3 weeks ago). I started with a Lord L6 just to see if I like it, and I love it. I'm proud to say that this morning, I had my first shave with my R41 with a Feather New Hi-Stainless Steel blade and it was awesome. My preparation is solid and once I refine my technique, I know my shaves will be BBS.
