Made a to go breakfast for my lady friend this morning.

We were going to have breakfast, but she got called into work. So I did it so she could show up, top her crepes and run instead.

French crepes.
Thick cut bacon (cooked to preference... Lol)
Fried Haloomi cheese.
All the fun toppings.

And a nice Chai tea.

I love knowing how to cook...

My mom wrote a cookbook. It's not really Rosalie's recipe... Lol

Old Hippie

Somewhere between 61 and dead
Baked oats with apple, cinnamon, almonds and maple syrup:

Tough gettin' 'em to stay in half the pan like that...:)

I came across Nairn's Oatcakes website the other day. Like Mecca for an oat fanatic! The baked oatmeals looked good so that went on the menu immediately. I had some Bob's Red Mill Scottish Oats that I'd toasted a while back in anticipation of making some haggis so now I can't make haggis until I get more oats.

Alongsides included a glass of freshly-pressed blood orange juice and coffee "Quant. Suff."

O.H.

Saturday am began before the sunrise as I drove inland to rural Florida, which I have grown to love as much as the beach. Rode an hour at the MTB park and headed home for the refuel, with a stop at the donut shop. The three egg omelette is of the western variety. The hot sauce is Cholula chili lime.

If you don't like coarse ground black pepper as much as I do then this may not look as great to you as it does to me :eek2: I grind heaps of black pepper over my eggs. I do my thick sliced bacon in a panini press (between two sheets of parchment paper for easy cleanup).

We are just back from 2 weeks in the UK, so almost everyday was either a variation on the full English, this one is from De Vine cafe in London (just near Fenchurch St station), and is a steal at GBP9.50. The egg Benny is from the Salthouse Harbour hotel in Ipswich. Locally sourced ingredients, excellent.View attachment 1839276View attachment 1839277

With a preemptive apology to our British brothers it looks great, but those beans would make for a tough morning. Maybe that stiff upper lip was just biting it to not fumigate a room. 💨
