Tried a new to me Ethiopian/Somali restaurant today. Ordered the “Sport Plate” rice and two kinds of meat for $30. It’s supposed to serve two but could easily feed three people. We got chicken and goat. A very strong cinnamon tea came with it.
Kimchi pancakes wit cucumber and spinach salad. The Kimchi was store bought, everything else was made from scratch. Plus some Makgeolli to wash it down
To the usual Sandwich Shop: chicken, bacon and egg sandwich. Their version of a Club Sandwich but not toasted (at my behest) and not triple decker. A decent bite though.
I took my team out for their CNY lunch today and since I don't like the Chinese 8 course banquet approach (too much seafood) we went to a nearby hotel for their buffet. Those that wanted it could have seafood, live or cooked, there was a good lump of roast beef on the carvery, stir fried various, steamed ditto, a good mix of Western, Chinese, Malay, Peranakan and Indian. I gave the cheeseboard a bit of tap, and am still feeling a bit stuffed.
