The same thing that I use every day, Pinky: a mixture of castor oil, EVOO, Vitamin E oil and Tea Tree oil that I found online.

A warm shower is the best pre shave there is.
Sometimes I also use canned foam as pre-shave! Works great! Rub some in, let it sit for a minute or two, rinse and proceed with brush lathering.

Hot shower or bath. Then, hot wet towel followed by PAA cube. Then Grooming Dept pre-shave rubbed in well with a bit of water. Finally, I rub in a couple of drops of Art of Shaving Oil. Love that combo!

Dab of conditioner, worked well into the bristles after a warm water face wash. Gives a very nice slick base, and I may use this in preference to pre-shave oil.
