I am currently on shave # 78 with my British Wilkinson Super Sword-Edge NOS blade. I will take it as far as comfort gets me so I likely won't be reporting here.

No, not really ;)

I've got a few of these but have never tried them, so I'm using this challenge as an excuse for breaking into them. That's the same reasoning I used last year when I did this with a P74.

Perhaps next year I'll try with something a bit more challenging.

As I am a foolish man I am going to attempt with the free Merkur Super blade that came free with a razor, no doubt I will struggle but I do love this challenge... Updated list:

I know it says no rules but are you expected to shave everyday? I'm mostly an every other day shaver and alternate sides from one shave to the next. With a good blade I can get 4 or 5 shaves per side so if I stretched it to 7 per side and shave every other day I should have no problem going 28 days on one blade.

I return from Hawaii on the last day of this month. I'll see if I can make it through February with serious attention to shave prep, and a single Astra blade (I know two will work).... I might regret this:))

I tend to use a lot of different razors. Short attention span? I used 31 different razors in OCtober. Just to shake things up, I plan to use only one razor and one blade in February. I've already named the blade (Wilkinson Light Brigade). The razor will be my Barbasol floating head. Maybe I'll actually learn something in February!

I did this last year with a Personna Lab Blue, and when it gave up the ghost, a Med Prep. I still have the same blades (and razors and face), so I don't see the point of doing it again. Maybe I will go to last year's thread and copy and paste my posts into this year's. :p

I'll try to remember to post here as well, but I will try to get an English Wilkinson Sword, Super Sword-Edge through the month of February. The only thing that I would like to ad at this point is the blade I will be using has been in use since January the 1st of this year and as of today has completed shave 19.

I started a new Treet Black Beauty today. I will try to use it for the rest of the month, 10 shaves total. After shaving, I rinsed the blade in hot water, pat dried on a microfiber towel, then an alcohol rinse. I then lightly stropped the edge a few times on a linen strop. Let's see if this treatment will last me to the end of the month. If not, then I will probably change my February blade to a Personna Med Prep, my last years blade until I dropped it on the floor 9 days in.

I'm in! I was considering the Treet Black Beauty in the name of science, but since Galaktus is possibly already giving it a go, I'm going to go with my most recent blade acquisition, the Gillette Nacet Stainless, which I've really enjoyed on my first two tries.

Ok, I'll give it a try this year and I'll go with a Gillette Silver Blue. I have an unopen pack and I have not used one in a year or more but I seem to remember them being smooth and lasting.

I'm in too, why not?! I've gotten 7 shaves from some Gillette blades, might as well go for 15-20 (I don't shave daily)! Very curious about the Personna Red folks, but I'm going with a Gillette since they have proven to last for me.
