Hello Gentlemen. I have a Simpsons Polo 10 in 2 band for sale with a crack running in the handle. The previous owner assured me that the crack has not progressed in the last two years but I have taken the precaution of pushing clear epoxy into the crack to stabilize it further. The handle holds the knot securely and the crack does not move when pushed upon. The know is a typical Simpson two band knot. Soft at the tips with plenty of backbone for any hard soap. The Polo 10 handle is exceedingly comfortable to hold.
The two band hair from Simpson is very hard to find and they get snapped up as soon as they become available. This knot is from one of the much coveted older versions. Here is a listing on WEST COAST SHAVING where when available it was listed at $269.50 USD Retail.
