Shelf life. How to use artisan soaps? Rotate or use one by one

I use two soaps during the year. One for colder months and one for warmer. When I run low and need to restock, I usually try a
different brand and scent. I keep mine in an old spice mug with a cover and do a face lather. Honestly, I don't find much difference in any of the tallow soaps other than scent and price.
