Oktoberfest/Marzen beers

You may have mentioned this already but is one brewery chosen each year to be the “official” of that years Oktoberfest? Looks like a lot of fun. I have a new adventure to add to my bucket list.
The big tents all have their own beer, Spaten, Hacker, Löwen, Paulaner etc.
It’s my favorite style so I like them all! I prefer the richer martzen over the fest style though. It’s getting close to the end so start stocking up boys!

You realize that now we have to have a picture of you in all your gear.
It's still a couple of weeks before I go to Munich but let's see
Weißwürst and pretzels… I love München but would avoid during Octoberfest… but I’ve also been to Germany 100+ times for work so it’s work not vacation.

Tried this one last year at their tap room in Two Harbors. Not overly sweet like I thought it'd be. Balanced with an interesting, warm spice quality. 5.7% ABV. First time I've seen it on sale locally.

My order for this years Festbiers is out.

That almost looks like a promotional picture. Did you take it?
That is a still from the broadcasted event. You see the head-mayor of Munich tapping the barrel.
The ask is to do it with as few taps and spillage as possible. He did it in two and no drop of beer was lost - seems that is what counts to make mayor there
The lady in the black and yellow costume is the representation of the „Münchner Kindl“. She is the ambassador of the Oktoberfest and the symbol of Munich. By custom she is elected from one of the brewery families or the ones that run the fun fair.
