New to the forums, long time lurker. I’ve finally developed the skills to feel worthy enough to come into discussions.
I’ve been experimenting with natural stones. Coticules, various slates and arks. I have been using a Cerax 1010 for bevel setting. My only synthetic is the Suehiro cerax.
My collection includes:
Vermont Green Slate 8x3
Black Shadow 6x2
Green Shadow 6x2
Soft/Hard Black Combo 8x2
Soft/Hard Black Combo 8x3
Dans Hard Black 6x2
Rh Preyda Hard Black 8x3
Ardennes Coticule 7x2
Suehiro Cerax 1010
Illinois Razor Company 827 strop
I have a La Lune in transit. Hopefully that will complete my Slate progression until I discover a more coarse stone, likely adding a Pierka in the near future.
Any criticisms or advice on something to add is welcomed. I am always looking for interesting naturals. I fear Jnats will be in my future. $$$
