Beer of the Day - BOTD - 2023

Managed to meet up with a buddy for lunch at Tarantula Hill Brewing. It’s been a couple years since last visit but I enjoyed everything I tried (blond ale with tart cherries, hazy IPA with apricots, and this west coast IPA collab with Casa Agria)

Covergent Paths, a dark chocolate/espresso stout from Nine Mile. The espresso note almost turned into an overpowering black licorice flavor, but the beer was able to right itself. A sipper, 7.4%, the best of the 3 crowlers from Nine Mile.

.Overwhelmed by all the seasonals available on the shelves, I grabbed this single from Schell's, New Ulm, MN...

A barrel-aged black lager, 10%, thick tan head with white highlights. Rich and sweet, with chocolate, vanilla, and oak notes. Nice seasonal effort from Schell's.
