Totally forgot about this thread. Last nights shave with the Henson/GSB blade, brushless cream and finished with a little clubman milk. Tempted! to buy things to make my own milk, but I have enought here in the bottle to last me a good while. That can 100% wait till the end of the year. I have it all kinda planned out and will just execute when the time comes.

Did a bit of travelling recently, and when I travel I like to take a single inexpensive razor. Don't want to be sad if I lose it. This time I went with the PAA Prismatic, a razor I had not used in years. What a pleasant surprise. It may not be ti, stainless, brass, or even aluminum but I got some excellent shaves. Will definitely be using this one more often.

Well, I did not last long. I have been rewatching Game of Thrones and finished season 6. In the spirit of Cersei Lannister's Walk of Shame, I admit my inexcusable failures.

Having received a Dorco blade from the Great Blade Exchange, upon first use it was Eureka. Then I got pissed off and out of sorts when my Astraeus 22 mm brush shattered after dropping it on the tile floor, so I ordered the Muhle 21 mm black fiber even though I did not need to replace it. It is very different from the STF with more backbone but still splayable, and it fits my face better than the 25 mm STF. And then in another moment of weakness, I could not fight back the desire for the venerable Merkur slant. I will never badmouth Zamak razors ever again. I love the 37C even more than the 34C. Thankfully, the trio of failures totaled under $100, so that is my atonement.

@Calyshaver - that Dorco blade is indeed a great blade to use. Nice gear! Feel free to pursue 365/366!

In or out are very close to each other. I visited a Vintage Fair earlier today. A stand with all safety razors. Some in excellent condition for pennies. But the stand owner was inconsistent with increasing prices after already mentioning a much lower price earlier. Not worthy of my business. I took that as a sign and walked away.

Tonight's shave, all red razors. First pass with the Weck.

Second pass was with an aluminum Karve CB on a Stirling Austin handle. Lather was Ethos, as you can see. Nice, comfortable shave.

Had the first good shave with the Henson AL13+++. Been trying for months now but it never gave me a nice shave.
Had a horrible shave with the Bostonian on Friday and really felt the need to shave on Saturday. For some reason even the ATG pass was smooth.
