Friday morning:

Razor: Superspeed
Blade: Gillette Sharpedge (4)
Cream: Palmolive
Brush: Vulfix
A/S: Speick
ASB: Gaia Organic ASB

SOTD 7-30-15

Comments: Today was almost exactly the same as yesterday, except for the soap used! I did two passes (WTG, XTG), then a cleanup type pass (XTG/ATG), which worked fine! No irritation or nicks!!! I do feel a couple of areas that could have been closer but I will still call it a DFS shave! No issues with the Proraso soap as it works well for me. A very good shave today!

Please feel free to leave comments on any items used as I enjoy reading them to see what others say about the gear I am using/trying out! Of course, YMMV!

Thx.

Great photos, everyone! Enjoy your Thursday! :001_smile
Noire (lovely colours and is that one of the original WSP Manchurian knots?)

Not sure as just acquired it, only know it's a WSP Manchurian 26x49 originally from around Sept-Oct 2013. It is interesting as has super-duper springy backbone with soft tips - no scritch, so could lather the face all day . . . but then would be late for work . . .

Yep! Sounds like one of the original 25 that were offered. They are great knots and an incredible value for the $125 that they were going for, in my opinion! One of the best knots I have tried! Good thing I picked up a few.

My personal chart of favorite brushes.

#1 in my personal chart.
The Mythical Omega 48. Probably the best Brush or at least the best boar of the world currently.
And since some time. Italian barbers knows well and generations of them can't be wrong.
Someone call it the famous Italian broom.
I call it "The Old Faithful".

Some says that it needs a break in time. Probably.
For sure after some use, it will break the tips and it will be soft as talc yet can load for many passes.
It's a terrific lather machine whether you use cream, soaps or the hardest triple milled Soap.
Doesn't matter, like a good sergeant it will be with you, faithful friends, forever. Well my father changes it once every 5-15 years.
And on top of this cake, it is affordable for every people. It's cheap, not popular. It's cheap but not without quality. It's cheap but you will have a lot for the price and the time being.

Couple this boar with some Italian rare gems like the Saponificio Varesino or the barbers choice Floid or again the all Italian Universal shavette and you will have an epic shave.

Pre: A good shower
Brush: Omega 48
Razor: Universal Whole Blade
Blades: Bolzano SuperInox (1)
Soap: Saponificio Varesino - Manna di Sicilia
AS: Floid the Original

Moisturizer: My home made cream "Skin Bomb"with shea butter, lanolin, wheat germ oil, avocado oil and argan oil.

Music: The Maestro - Luciano Pavarotti

EDT: Armani Ice Code
