Which Soaps Are Sold by Kilograms?

On a trip to Genoa, Italy a couple years ago, I re-visited a great local 'shave/pharmacy' shop.
They had a bulk shave croap for sale by the 'tenth of a kilo' (etto).
You decide how many 'ettos' you want, and they scoop and pack it in a baggie.
Traditional Italian marzipan-scented. Shaves great, much like Cella.

A kilo of soap is a huge commitment, in daily use you could be talking about 4 or 5 years of daily shaves. You'll need to store it properly, so break it into maybe 5 chunks, vacuum seal it and put whatever you aren't using in the freezer.
To put it into perspective here in Ireland you could get less time for armed robbery.

I want to give some quality soap to a friend moving to remote Alaska. He won't be able to shop regularly for personal supplies and the cold climate I think would help preserve the soap if he stores it in a dry place.
