Mostly I use Old Spice mugs (I have a few!) but sometimes I find things like this Japanese Otagiri bowl. Yard sale, $1

I have several Ogalalla soaps melted and poured into Ziploc bowls and I have a couple of triple-milled's just plopped into $2 ceramic ramekins that I got at walmart. They all work great.

For the moment I'm using an old coffee mug.

I'm thinking of going back to pick up an Old Spice shaving mug that I found at an out of the way junk store a couple of days ago.

I have several soaps in Old spice mugs.

The Prairie Creations have stayed in the plastic containers they came in.

I have some vintage Williams Luxury Soap milled into a monkeypod bowl that I glued an EGA to.

The Cella is in the original container.

I have another soap in a Snowman bowl that gets broken out during the holidays...I can't remember what's in it...

i try to get the bowl or mug that comes with the soap as often as possible; i rarely only buy puck's.

for my mühle puck i found a lonely ceramic bowl/tub in the back of a cupboard and for a lid i simply put my small proraso tub on top of it.
my cella currently lives in a cappuccino cup with my harris arlington bowl as a lid.
this little stacking system also saves a bit of room

i really like the ikea tins though:thumbup1:

I love IKEA! They have everything! :thumbup1:

i haven't been able to find an old spice mug locally but I picked up a 25 cent English-style tea mug at goodwill.

I have some Arlington Soap and some E-Shave Lavender soap in my rotation.

Each fits nicely into some finished bowls of TOBS cream. The high sides of the TOBS cream bowls let me load my brush really well without the soap going all over the place like when I used the wooden bowls the soap came with.

I hated when then soap would start to collect on the lip of the bowl and then run down the sides. It might not look as nice as a mahogany bowl but it is a much more functional solution

I also like the fact I can then get an airtight seal when I screw the cap back on. I doubt it really does anything, but it can't hurt either.

Get yourself a Marvy shaving mug and some jello pudding cups. Eat the pudding. Clean the cup. Freeze and then finely grate a stick of Arko. Mash the shreds into the empty, clean pudding cup. Remove the puck from the cup. It is a perfect fit for the Marvy mug. The unbreakable one made from rubber. Bob's your uncle.

I'm fond of vintage Fire-King milk glass custard bowls (fits Harris perfectly). I also just got a Pillivuyt Sancerre Ramekin ($9 @Amazon) that is great and looks the same as the Durance bowl. Top quality french porcelain.
