Happy Bday, sorry "Amished" it but not concerned about being late.

Damp facecloth aka “shave binky”
Ω 10048 28mm boar brush
Pre-shave: applying warm lather
Lather: Canada Shaving Soap, face-lathered
Aftershave: Olm Nom
Post-shave: warm shower :001_wub: and a drop of hyaluronic acid and a drop of glycerin
Post-shave: Equate moisturize

All that improvement in my skin from palm-lathering seems to be real. Face-lathered with my remaining piggy and it felt exquisite. Shave was still too slow, but comfortable and close. Aftershave went brrr. Feeling the difference negatively this morning. Want to keep using my piggy, but not for the luxury that is face lathering.

Thanks for all the well-wishes for Wifey’s birthday.

Along with a cute cake with a “?” candle and the presents, Wifey also wanted hot pot. The place we wanted to try was usually open at 11A, but opened at 4P yesterday and we wanted lunch at lunch time so we went to the local Zapp franchise in Londonderry, NH. Wifey had chicken broth, Wee Babby had a veggie broth, and I had the Zapp broth.

The Zapp broth smells spicy and vinegary and tastes like Campbell’s beef vegetable broth followed by a fair amount of heat. So it was like I ate boiled veggies in a quart of Tabasco. Later, for only six hours, my body kept scolding me for consuming a quart of Tabasco.

Happy shaves, everyone!

Last night’s smoother shave

Pre-shave: applying warm lather by hand
Lather: Canada Shaving Soap, palm-lathered
Aftershave: Olm Nom
Post-shave: warm shower :001_wub: and a drop of hyaluronic acid and a drop of glycerin
Post-shave: Equate moisturizer

Palm-lathered with my piggy brush and had a fairly smooth shave. I think one or both of those pre-shave face washes make a difference. Shave was zippy enough, but not zippy and close enough, but not very close.

Got a hundred pairs of slow-motion sumō/shiko leg lifts in the books last night. The slow motion and progressive fatigue had finishing those in forty-five minutes and I was done.

Happy shaves, everyone!

Didn’t shave last night. Didn’t shower, either. Showered today. Warm, bordering on hot.

Cleaned the gutters, mowed down the leaves, cleaned up the mower and walked back to our porch. Wifey couldn’t believe I had already cleaned the gutters because they full up with leaves again. And within an hour, it looked like I hadn’t mowed at all. Probably do it all again Tuesday.

We had more hotpot today. At a Korean BBQ joint, of course. Very delicious. Wifey had stacked the empty dishes to make life easier for the person busing (she is the most considerate person I’ve ever met) and it totally made the lady’s day. Once again, I went too spicy, but not as bad as last time. Happy, full Brogans toddled away for this bastion of deliciousness.

It's nice to be that way and it's the right way to do things. Workers appreciate that!
We go to restaurants and clean up and organize before we leave.
And I do the same when I stay at a hotel:
Before I leave, I leave everything clean and organized to make it easy for housekeeping.
I honestly don't understand why everyone isn't like that!

The last time I had Korean BBQ for real was when I was in a particularly rough time in my life financially. It was at a soup kitchen and one of the local Korean restaurants came and served us. That was really awesome. One of the Kevin's sous vide meals is flavored with Korean BBQ style sauce. It is tasty, but, not the same.

I do that as well, my friend. I stack up the plates, put all the forks, knives and spoons on the top plate, put all the glasses together, etc. 🤝

Pre-shave: face wash with shave soap x2
Lather: Canada Shaving Soap, palm-lathered
Aftershave: Olm Nom
Post-shave: face wash with shave binky and a drop of hyaluronic acid and a drop of glycerin
Post-shave: Equate moisturizer

Two days since the last, not particularly close shave, and this shave was extremely comfortable and very close. Road the cap with pressure and didn’t get a weeper or aftershave sting. Will probably have curlbacks later, but it’s still very close and comfortable ten hours later.

Will do my best to make this a week of shenanigans and capers.

Happy shaves, everyone!
