ROCKWELL Razor - Consider this BEFORE buying a Rockwell!!!

I've also had problems with the Rockwell 6S. I tend to rinse, dry, and reassemble my razors. I take good care of them. With the Rockwell 6S, one day I accidentally got a drop of water on the head, and two or three days later, it was rusting at that point. It was clearly rust, and it's never happened to me with any other stainless steel razor. I had to scrub with a little white vinegar until the rust came off. I don't think it's 316L stainless steel, or it's mixed, but it rusts. You can test it by putting a drop of water somewhere and waiting a few days. It's durable, but it will rust.

I own most of Razorocks stainless razors, and have had them for years. A couple of the heads have very minor water marks, but none of the razors have rust. I have many other brands of stainless razors and none of them have rusted, including a Rex Ambassador adjustable. My Rockwell 6C (Zamac with chrome coating) has not shown any rust in 6 years. I am glad you advertised your issues with Rockwell on this forum (and hopefully others)...since Rockwell should want the razor back to inspect it themselves...and they should give you a refund. They should want to fix a problem with their manufacturing or material choices, rather than to ignore it. I cannot believe they are treating a customer this way. We are a small community and the last thing any razor manufacturer needs is bad publicity from poor products and treating customers badly.

Rarely mentioned is the 2C. Chrome plated zinc alloy. I've never seen any rust or corrosion. I prefer the shining finish. A plus was getting it on sale at Duluth Trading for 25 bucks. I bought a 4 plate. It goes through cycles of being my daily driver. But I need a break from it sometimes. For me it's weight is part of it's aggressiveness. So I go back to old reliable Muhle R89.
