What's new

Maybe I'll learn something.

So today was my last session of PT. I have enough exercises to keep me busy so it is okay. I have however developed a new malady in the last few weeks, maybe longer and I just didn't register it. My left knee over extends, not quite buckling, but, enough that it seems like it could pop. This disturbs quite a few standing activities to include shaving which bothers me worse. She didn't have any solutions or exercises for this so I guess I will bring it up to my GP on the 22nd.

Best wishes to you, my friend.

I don't know your situation, but I feel like there should be exercises they can offer you for this. Hopefully your GP will be able to help. In the meantime, could you wear a brace, at least when you know you need to be standing for a while?
That could be a solution with the knee brace. I will have to look into it on the first. The only problem I would have is getting it on. I don't have a full range of motion in my left ankle from falling down roller skating in 2012. I shattered my ankle and broke my leg in 2 places.I use a device given to me at the occupational therapist to get socks on, and can't clip my toe nails. I have a long grabber to get my shorts on so maybe that would help.

Something that I should have mentioned earlier when I was talking about physical therapy is my improvement since our first session. I have steadily improved with each appointment. They rate on a 5 point scale. When i first started I was at mostly 3's and a few 4-'s. Today I was at mostly 5's and 4+'s. So a lot of improvement.

Have you set up a bit coin farm?
I do leave my desktop on 24 hours a day because my monitor takes several hours to warm up and clear the horizontal lines that cover the screen when I turn it on from cold or from sleep/hibernation. Because of that I don't use those last two features that would save energy. Sometimes I leave my TV on as well as the living room lamp. I have my heating set to 70. I suppose I could lower it, but, I already wear jeans and a hoodie day in day out. Even though they replaced all the windows a few years ago I still feel a chill in my office next to a window also the fireplace that I don't use lets heat out I am sure. That last bit may contribute to the bit not insulating the apartment enough. That is probably what it is.

I think I need to follow Kim's @Phoenixkh and put up a BST. Maybe some watches. I already have four in mind It is just a matter of taking some photos. That will help a lot if I can move them on after the high electric and wheel and tire incident at the beginning of the month.
I finally got my watch sale set up. It took me all day to decide and take pics. It was starting to get dark by the time I got done. Posting about it here won't do much good, but, it is kind of against the rules to talk about them outside the BST. Oh well.

If it has been colder than normal that may contribute to the higher than normal electricity usage. I see that last January you also appear have higher than normal usage.

This is my my thought that heat is escaping from the fire place, windows, and, balcony door.
Definitely up the the fireplace if the flue is not shut all the way and even that won't stop heat from escaping if you have experienced a unusual cold snap. Windows and balcony doors can be problematic as well. You did mention feeling a chill in your office. Is the caulking around your windows in good shape?
