Some caution may be needed. I blocked the U bend on a wash basin due to a lanolin based shaving soap. A plumber was needed, first question he asked was about shaving soap.

Lanolin fan here --- Give Myrsol soaps a try, plenty of lanolin goodness .... though it comes in a tub and not a tube.Friends,
Im a particular fan of Lanolin in shaving creams, as I find it quite protective and moisturizing for my skin. So far ive tried Ach Brito Lavanda, Lea classic sensitive in a tin which contain lanolin and they are great creams.. But my gosh the Musgo Real shaving cream line clearly has way more in it.. my face feels literally the softest ive ever felt post shave, even without after shave.. this is crazy stuff...
So my question here is.. im not a big fan of its price tag.. is there anything out there literally that out there that can compete in terms of lanolin content? for the Musgo real the lanolin is way higher up on the ingredients list (more of it). I have not found anything else out there as loaded.
I welcome your suggestions if any ..
Thank you

I too am a big fan of Musgo and yeah it is pricey .... I'd also speculate that they are slowly getting out of the shave business ... they've slowly been whittling down their range shave products. Too bad as I think they have the best cream on the market...
Yes sir, I believe all the Stirlings contain lanolin except Unscented With Beeswax.I'm a big Stirling Varen fan. Not sure, but I think it contains some lanolin. Too lazy to climb upstairs to look, though.
You might give Mitchell Wool Fat a try. It has been reformulated, but lanolin is definitely one of the ingredients left. And presumably plenty of it as it has a history stemming from sheep.
Another one would be Haslinger Sheep Soap.
Cheers,
Guido
I do enjoy the Lea classic in the tin, but it does not have as much Lanolin as Musgo im fairly certain.
Musgo does not contain lanolin, but Musgo Real does.
Both are made by Ach. Brito, but Musgo and Musgo Real are different product lines.
As the names are confusing, referring to Musgo Real just as Musgo only adds to the confusion.

Really like the smell of Haverford.Thank you i have seen the mitchell wool fat but i really enjoyed the ingredients list of the stirling! i got the haveford one
Maybe just me, but I’ve kinda a love - hate with the original tallow formula. To which I’ve moved on a while back with Haslinger. You might give Mitchell Wool Fat a try.

I have a bunch of the Myrsol soaps - to my nose none of them have particularly strong scents, in fact I find them fairly subdued.... as in 2 out of 10 strength, which I prefer. None of the soaps leave scent after washing, but the post-shave feel is lovely.looking at myrsol shaving creams i dont see much in terms of explaining the scents.. can you give me a little bit of a run down on what you know? the F Extra for example is that more moisturizing? the local place here has the don carlos scent and coconut and mint only.. not sure which to grab..
if the don carlos is more like a "perfume" or colone id prob skip it.. the coconut mint sounds unique and interesting , kind of like that malibu liquor i guess?

The 'Blue' (which I like) is the most perfumy of the lot. I have the Don Carlos which is fresh bright with a citrus note. The F/Extra is along the lines of Floid Genuine .. kind of spicy barbershop. I do not have the coconut mint.
If you have a local place go have a whiff ... If you want something quite neutral and not perfumy at all try the Antesol or K which is peppermint.
As always YMMV, but I'd give it a try if you are looking for lanolin.
