I had a very nice New Year’s morning shave with the EJ 89 and a German Schick.

I had another really nice shave this morning with the EJ 89 and German Schick. The EJ isn’t the closest or most efficient razor, but, man, is it smooth and comfortable.

I had an EJ89 in my cart on New Year's eve, but decided to not get it and now it is too late. I have to wait a year. Oh well. Probably for the better. I certainly do not NEED anything else.

You aren't missing out if you have a Muhle R89. I pif'd my EJ89 a few years ago.

Now the EJ 3one6 looks interesting !

I started shaving ATG in various places, which changes my razor preference a bit.

I can see how that might change your preferences. The EJ89 was a great razor but just too much like my Muhle R89 to keep both. Do you find the Bali comfortable ATG?

So far the razors that work ATG are: aluminum Lupo, Baili TTO, and EJ 89. My other more aggressive razors with more blade exposure cause considerable irritation ATG.

Lol I was mixed up between who wanted the EJ, you or Boris. Looking back at my notes, the EJ89 was one of the few razors that did not cause irritation ATG under the chin.

That's the kind of looking after that will get me in trouble.

I switched from low-prep all-ATG shenanigans with some aluminum razors to a Game Changer 0.68OC and it felt like a bridge too far. Running crying to a Mamba 0.53 for the next one.

My Maggard Mamba 70 clone doesn’t work well ATG for me, unfortunately.
