How could I ever forget, thanks for the "reminder!" and I enjoy each & everyone of them:

Currently at 6 brushes, 3 Badgers (EJ Pure was my 1st, Thater Stout 4125 and Savile Row 3824) 2 Boars (Omega 80097 and Semogue 1305) and Omega Synthetic 6461865.

Pretty certain my wedding present (October 19) is some shave related gear so even though I'm not buying anything I think my stash is getting refilled.

I definitely need this thread and will commit to this. The wedding is draining funds quickly and I'll only get myself in trouble coming up.

I'm in. I made it to mid-May in the 2012 Sabbatical, then fell off the wagon hard. I've just spent the past couple of months chronicling my soft goods stash, and should be just finished with that list by the 15th. It made me realize just how much stuff I have; well, that, and our buying a new house with enough room to get everything out into the open where I could see it...

No exceptions.

I have been on the 2012 Sabatical and I think that committing to this restraint thread as well will give me the boost necessary to make it till the end. I will hold true with no named item. I (mostly) followed along with the other thread and will now participate in this one.

I'm in. I failed every other sabbatical but I'll give it another try since I'm happy with my current stash. My one exception is Captain's Choice Cat 'O Nine Tails bay rum AS should he decide to offer it for sale.

I'd like to be included on this. I have a couple things still in transit. The only exception I will be giving will be if I happen across a vintage Rhodium Plated Gillette at a steal of a price. I have more than enough items to keep me occupied well past Christmas, but this will be a good challenge for me!

Count me in. Have a tub of TOBS minus 3 shaves, most of a stick of Arko, half a tube of Proraso, and some samples. I think that will be enough to carry me to Christmas - blades are my only concern - oh wait I have a straight.

I am on the fence about this one. I am very new to wetshaving and my AD is something fierce. I have a ton of stuff on the way to me from various people. I also am on the lookout for some other things. So it may be for me to wait until the 2013 restraint. Also I am still single so I am getting in my purchases before there is a SWMBO in my life. The fiance doesn't know everything yet. I am not sure she wants to know lol.

I was banking on most people celebrating Christmas, and it's a goal everyone can clearly identify. I could have called it the "Gentlemanly Restraint until the (so-called) End of the World" in reference to 12/21/12, but that didn't feel right.

From what I am presuming to be a position as your elder and as a man married for over twenty years(non-consecutive), I advise you to buy every and anything you want right now before your marriage. Trust when I tell you that a period of gentlemanly restraint is coming your way out of which you may not opt. No need to rush it.
