I wonder how many of the 70 will drop out of the 2013 year long one.

We may have more failures then sign ups...but i sure hope we have a good number in the end. i'm guessing with the 70 or so signed up, we'll have 12-15 make it.

I recieved the PIF as well!! It is a Vie-long boar brush with a very comfortable "octo-handle". Can't wait to give it a spin.

Today I gave the Oakshott PIF'd Rocket HD a shave spin along with the Klar Kabinett soap I "self gifted" (cut up into Anchor Hocking bowl) as a present for making it thru GRUC I used my trusty Semogue 1305 Boar along w / the ever reliable Astra, Nivea ASB and Pinaud Special Reserve, not showing for their photo, a alum block & generic witch hazel and a NICE shave was had!

It was pretty hard to not buy things. However, after the post-fail binge I haven't really gotten too much. I'm convinced that restraint is a terrible, horrible thing for my wallet.

Agreed!! Restraint till Christmas was a bad idea as I, and likely many others, was broke after Christmas.

I didn't nearly drop as much as I thought I would - about $120 all told, and that should last me two years. I spent that much on pens though.

I've spent about $288 since including a purchase that hasn't been made yet and a few knots for brushes. No software at all which is sorta funny. I have plenty and for some reason I just haven't bought anymore.

In the meantime, a round of applause gents for Mikeschu!!! A wonderful host for a great 101 days of restraint! They were the best of times, they were the worst of times!
